The Producers, which won 12 Tony awards on Broadway. The stage show is based on Brooks’ classic film of the same name and follows the diminishing career prospects of pathetic producer Max Bialystock (Dreyfuss) and his accountant Leo Bloom (Evans) forcing them to concoct the perfect money making scheme: a premeditated theatrical flop by the name of Springtime For Hitler. The Oscar-winning film originally starred Zero Mostel and Gene Wilder in the title roles, while the multi-award winning Broadway production starred Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick.
